TradeXchange is a free skill exchange platform built to help people teach what they know and learn what they need. The technology is the bridge. The community is what gives the bridge a reason to exist.

TradeXchange is free to join.
You do not need money to participate. You do not need a degree, a professional title, or a list of impressive credentials. You do not need to live in a certain country or come from a certain background.
You simply need to know something, or want to learn something.
That is enough.
We are building TradeXchange for families, young people, adults, workers, parents, retirees, students, immigrants, mentors, beginners, and curious people everywhere.
You might want to learn a language.
You might know how to repair a bicycle.
You might be good at photography, gardening, cooking, fitness, business, music, technology, art, or home repair.
You might know how to prepare a family recipe that has been passed down for generations.
You might understand something because you have lived through it, not because you studied it in a classroom.
You do not need to be a professor to teach.
You only need to be willing to share what you know.
The platform is the bridge. People are the engine.
We often talk about technology as if it creates change by itself.
It does not.

Our skill exchange model is simple:

- Earn up to 30 minutes of learning time.

TradeXchange is an unfunded nonprofit project. We have not raised any funds yet.
We are intentionally keeping the platform free because money should not be the first barrier between a person and the chance to learn.
But free for members does not mean costless to operate.
There are costs connected to hosting, development, video tools, translation, safety, verification, maintenance, and outreach. We are working to keep the project open and accessible while building carefully and honestly.
